Put a Spring in Your Step With These Comfortable Women’s Tennis Shoes

Before I play I expect to be sore the next day – from my arms and legs, to my knees and sometimes shoulders. But if I can avoid any discomfort to my feet then I do my best to get the most comfortable shoe so that running feels like gliding! Going the extra mile to prevent discomfort on court is good, especially if we’re talking shoes! Your feet connect to so many other muscles in your body so it’s quite important.  I try on A LOT of shoes for my job and I play tennis every week. So I’ve honed in on my favorite comfortable court shoes to wear on court!

First up on the list is a doozy, and it’s a men’s shoe – the Nike Men’s Zoom Vapor Flyknit!  Who cares if it’s a men’s shoe because if it’s good enough for Roger Federer it’s perfect for me!
The upper not only has an awesome pattern on the front, but is also designed with a NEW flyknit upper for even more speed and a more responsive fit.  This shoe provides the heel with a phylon midsole for lightweight cushioning. It also scores high for court traction with a herringbone pattern.  If fashion is just as important to you as comfort, you’ll be happy to know that Nike makes these shoes in a few new colors every season – Federer is currently sporting the Black and Volt pair!

If you want to feel like your feet are being hugged by Italian shoemakers, then try out the brand Diadora.  They offer ultimate comfort with maximum cushion in the heel and metatarsal regions of your foot.  The Diadora Women’s S Star K VII AG shoes have a low profile to keep you connected to the court, yet keep your foot supported completely!  If you struggle with shoe odor, no worries!  The antibacterial lining in these shoes keep them feeling fresh long into your season.  The super soft Kangaroo leather upper is lightweight, breathable and water resistant!

Women’s Stella McCartney Barricade Boost Tennis Shoes are my “go to” shoes if I know that I will be in my court shoes for a long chunk of my day.  adidas constructs these shoes with an internal bootie construction that gives an impressive and comfortable fit.  These shoes are designed to hug a woman’s foot and provide stability in lateral movements.  You’ll show off your footwork confidently with the sturdy modified herringbone tread on the outsole. Caroline Wozniacki actually runs marathons in her free time and she wore these shoes during her deep run at the US Open last year. So you know these shoes are comfortable!

If you are transitioning to tennis from another sport, the Asics Gel Resolution 7 Tennis Shoes will feel like the perfect fit right out of the box. Asics are one one of the top selling shoes for players, so if you ever step onto the court with someone who isn’t wearing the proper shoe just think about all the advantage you have in these. With gel cushioning that cradles your feet and a 6-month outsole durability guarantee, it’s hard to find a better buy. This shoe has been redesigned to offer more support for your midsole, earning the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) Seal of Acceptance.  That’s rare in the world of court shoes!

Yonex Power Cushion Eclipsion Tennis Shoe in Dark Pink is a company solely focused on Tennis Specialty products, so you know these shoes are designed specifically for your needs on court. Protection comes in Yonex POWER CUSHION technology in the midsole to absorb shock then reverse the impact energy for a smooth transfer into the next movement. This is a great shoe that is ideal for tour competitors that require strong footwork. The Russel mesh on the side lets you fearlessly go for wide shots without fear of sliding on court because of the durable skin on top of it.
