Ten Reasons Tennis Express Loves Tennis

Love is always in the air here at Tennis Express, but even more so on this heart-filled holiday. Many of us at Tennis Express have somebody to spend a loving evening with but we all come here during the day due to a different kind of affection. For many different reasons, the game of tennis is something that is near and dear to all of our hearts. So it’s only fitting that on Valentine’s Day we get to learn a little about the relationships we have with the sport that we all find so amazing.

“I love tennis because it’s great for my cardio. It’s a sport I can play with my friends and not be too competitive. I like the technique that goes into swing patterns and stuff like that.” – John N., Shoe Department

“I love the majors.” – David, Stringer

“The thing I love about tennis the most is that you have to be more mentally strong then talented to win. To be the best you literally have to beat the best! You have to have the whole arsenal to win a Grand Slam.” – Liam T., Team Leader

“I love tennis because of the competition and the spirit of sportsmanship” – Phi, Front Counter

“That’s complicated. It’s good exercise, its good fun, and it’s one of the only sports that you play one on one, but you can still play as a team. It’s hard to play but it’s also easy. You can get out and play by yourself or you can get a group of friends together. . . There is an endless variety of what you can do in tennis.” – Alex M., Wholesale Coaches

“What I love about tennis is that I have been able to improve rather quickly through hard work and determination. I have been able to travel to tournaments around the country and in Europe. [I] have met new and interesting people and form[ed] friendships that I wouldn’t have otherwise.” – David L., Project Management

“I love tennis because it [was] the first time that I ever played tennis with my parents and the last sport that I ever beat them in. It’s something that I have always watched and participated in with my family.” – Marshall H., Content Team

“I love the competition and how difficult the game is, but mainly [I love] challenging myself and my opponent during a difficult game.” – Vinny B., Assistant Buyer
