Serena Williams Nike Outfit at 2014 US Open Source-Nike.com

Serena Williams wearing her Nike Tennis Dress at 2014 US Open (Sep. 2014: Source-Nike.com)

This week we can see that the ladies have been busy adding color to their closets and thinking of their on-court look from head to toe. The Nike Featherlight 2.0 Visor was a big hit once again, undoubtedly because of its superior comfort plus wide range of color options. Fall is here so we’re not surprised to see your attention turn to outerwear, like the Nike Women’s Woven Full Zip Tennis Jacket that just so happens to be a staff favorite around the office as well! The Four Pleated 13 Inch Skort gets some attention this week for its timeless style as did the Serena Dress with its bold, allover pattern. Lastly, the Nike Air Max Cage was pinned time and time again, primarily in the pink color shown here – but as you’ll see, that’s just the beginning.

1. & 2. Serena Williams always shows up in something memorable and this year she took the W at the US Open in the – what else – Nike Serena Dress shown here. You can get the look for yourself but be forewarned that this dress is short – so you’ll want to pick up a little something to slip on underneath, like the Slam Short or Capri Tennis Tight.  If you prefer a more traditional 2-piece ensemble, this fun print also comes in a tank version that’s a stand out on its own or peeking out from a jacket when layered. Top off the look with the Featherlight Visor and coordinating wristbands and unleash the beast!

3. & 4. Though the specific colors of the Nike Four Pleated Tennis Skort that were pinned this week are no longer available, this season Nike offers 4+ color choice with a twist: the contrast color waistband. We’ve shown it here with a number of different top styles – namely the Pure Tank, Premier Sleeveless Polo, Burnout Tank, and Advantage Printed Tank – as well as Air Max Cage options so you can see just how versatile both the skort and shoe are.

5. You’d be hard pressed to find a Tennis Express team member who didn’t have the Nike Women’s Woven Zip Front Jacket in their closet (or drawer, or on the back of their desk chair, or…you get the picture!) This piece is the perfect weight for playing and packs well too so is great when you’re on the go. It’s straightforward design makes it timeless – no trendy additions, just solid details like elasticized hems to trap heat, side pockets, and mesh lining. Add the coordinating Nike Featherlight 2.0 Caps (cousin to the popular visor) and you will be surprised at just how well two light pieces can keep you warm and toasty.
