Nike tennis clothing has seen many different fashion trends over the years and 2019 is no different. Most players trust this brand because of its innovative apparel technologies and unique styles that bring the sport’s fashion side to life.
For Spring 2019, we saw Nike combine some of the mid-90’s fashion styles with new modern trends and technologies. This idea brought back the DNA of Nike tennis when legends Pete Sampras and Andre Agassi were in their prime. Going into the clay court season, Nike is making a slight change again and bringing out new colors with subtle, modern designs.

Nike Clothing for Men
Although the technologies aren’t changing this time around, many of Nike men’s clothing options will vary in material and fittings. Some of the everyday performance apparel options are being updated with recycled polyester for the same sweat-wicking abilities, but with less of an environmental footprint. Tops will come with a slimmer look to conform to your body, while shorts still remain at a standard fit.
Players that aspire to play like Rafa Nadal can get his clay-court outfit – the AeroReact Jacquard Tennis Top with matching Paris Rafa Court Flex Ace 7 Inch Tennis Shorts. His top has a cool lightning bolt design with light blue and bright orange colors that pop whenever you see it. Matching shorts come in a shorter 7 inch inseam with flexible polyester fabric, making it easier to slide around the court.

For those that continue to want classic fashion style, Nike has updated their Heritage collection with new colors too. Although it is a more modern cotton fabric, the same softness and sweat-absorption ability still applies.
Nike Clothing for Women
Nike is sticking to the same trend of tank tops, cut-off sleeves and slimmer silhouettes for the women’s summer collection. Players will find a mix of pastel and dark colors that work beautifully together. Most of the Court Dry and Court Pure women’s apparel items are updated with the lighter colors. These items will have a body-hugging style with more stretching ability and better coverage than before.
Although the skorts come in similar colors, Nike is sticking with a primarily cotton blended fabric to provide players with excellent comfort. Additionally, all of these still come with built-in shorts underneath for easy ball storage.
The Maria Sharapova apparel collection is updated as well. There’s a trendy muscle tank that replaces the previous V-neck racerback, giving players a little more coverage and comfort. This tank comes with a cropped length and a bonded hem, but in a slightly looser fit. Identical to the other skorts, the Maria Flex Victory Skort stays with a minimalistic design and cotton/poly blended fabric. Nike Flex fabric is combined with Dri-Fit technologies so players still get ultimate comfort and flexibility on court.
Nike Clothing for Boys
The Boys’ Nike summer collection is updated with new colors and slimmer cuts to keep up with modern trends. The Rafa Court Graphic Tee is similar in color to the men’s version, but is made with 100% polyester fabric and comes in a more fitted style. This was also implemented in the Spring Boys’ Rafa Court Graphic Tee.
The Boys Court Dry Team Polo and Court Dry Short Sleeve Top is improved with recycled polyester fabric to help the environment.
One exception to change is the Boys’ Court Dry Short which remains exactly the same as before. It has a 4-way stretch polyester construction, 6-inch inseam, and sweat-wicking technology.
Nike Clothing for Girls
The Girls’ Nike summer collection will be similar to the women’s collection with lighter colors and contoured styles. Girls can find a variety of colored tennis dresses, tennis skirts, tennis tanks, and tennis tops to make comfortable outfits for camp or vacation.
No matter what style you prefer, Nike seems to have it covered with their 2019 Summer Tennis Apparel Collection. It will be interesting to see what fashion designs they come up with for the 2019 French Open.
