When it comes to saving the planet AND keeping you cool on the courts, nothing but the best will do! At least that’s what we’re seeing from Adidas and their new Primeblue collection. The big brand announced several years ago their goal to end plastic waste. They’ve put their words into action and have introduced a variety of innovative products such as the Adidas Parley and the all-new Adidas Primeblue.
Adidas Game Plan to End Plastic Waste
In 2015 Adidas announced the launch of Parley, a special material made from polluted plastics found on beaches and oceans around the world.
Adidas is thrilled to roll out their new Primeblue collection. Here you will see items made exclusively from 100% recycled polyester. This means more trash is being diverted from oceans around the world. It also means an advanced material is helping Adidas achieve their goal to use 100% recycled polyester for their shoes and clothing by 2024.
While the new, innovative garments are making headlines for being eco-friendly, they are also being touted for their fabulous fit and feel.
Items from Adidas’ Primeblue collection encompass a variety of apparel such as tennis tops, tennis polos, tennis skorts, shorts, and more.
Adidas Man to Watch @Roland Garros
Dominic Thiem will be wearing the Adidas Men`s Primeblue FreeLift Tennis Polo at the French Open this year. He will take to the courts in a dashing, slim-fit polo. Fabricated from a translucent pique Primeblue material this polo features Parley ocean plastic, which was made from recycled waste. If you look closely, you might get a glimpse of an iridescent shimmer. It was also made with a special dye technique that reduces water consumption and other processes harmful to the environment.
A few cool features about this polo include the mock neck with a hybrid collar and hidden placket. Both bring a modern twist to the classic tennis polo. In addition to being a Primeblue garment, this polo was made with FreeLift construction which offers an enhanced range of motion.
Theim will also be wearing the matching Adidas Men`s Primeblue Ergo 7 Inch Tennis Short. Built to move and stretch whether he’s reaching for backhand or blasting the ball down the line, these shorts were made with woven fabric that is both flexible and lightweight.
