We’re back again answering some of your tennis questions! Whether you’re looking for gear recommendations, or tips to improve your technique, our experts are here to help.

Head on over to the  “Ask an Expert” form to send in your query!

To the questions we received this week, here’s what the Tennis Express experts had to say:

1. Our first question comes from Barbara. She’s looking for some recommendations on a new tennis shoe that has room in the toe box and has a mesh upper for good air circulation and comfort.

– Barbara Lundy

There are lots of great tennis shoes that have plenty of room in the toe box area and still provide plenty of comfort and breathability. We suggest the following:

Diadora Speed Blushield 4 Tennis Shoe

Diadora Speed Blushield 4 AG– well cushioned all around, 6-month outsole warranty, wider forefoot area, mesh tongue and upper for excellent breathability.

Women's New Balance FuelCell 996v4 Tennis Shoe Pink

New Balance FuelCell 996v4 B Width – Wider overall fit and available in other widths, mesh tongue and upper so your foot can breathe, running midsole technology for excellent comfort.

Nike Women's GP Turbo Tennis Shoe Summit White and Black

NikeCourt Air Zoom GP Turbo – lots of plush cushioning, decent room in toe box, mesh tongue and translucent upper for added air flow.

2. Our second question comes from comes from Patrice. She says she’s been playing with the Wilson BLX 108 for a long time and wants to replace her frame. She wants to know what we recommend that’s comfortable and allows for easy topspin?

– Patrice Forsyth

The Wilson BLX Juice 108 was one of my favorite racquets as well. I actually used to use the Wilson BLX Juice 100 for several years before switching to a newer frame. Most racquets today are becoming much more comfortable because of the technology however not all are created equal.

Head Graphene 360 Instinct Lite Tennis Racquet

Our first recommendation is the Head Graphene 360 Instinct Lite because it has easy power, effortless mobility and a comfortable feel.

Wilson Clash 108 Tennis Racquet

Second we would recommend the Wilson Clash 108 because of it’s unique flexibility, awesome stability, and easy spin generation.

Yonex Ezone 108 Deep Blue Tennis Racquet

Lastly we would recommend the Yonex Ezone 108. Although it will be on the firmer end out of these options, it’s still comfortable, powerful and has a huge sweetspot.

That’s all for today, but feel free to keep submitting your questions to our “Ask an Expert” form and well get back to as quickly as possible. Thanks for sharing!
