Coco’s All-American Semifinals

Coco’s All-American Semifinals

Thursday will be an exciting night in tennis as the Women’s Singles Semifinals is full of Americans ready to be the US Open winner!!

In a quarterfinal upset, the firecracker Coco Vandeweghe pushed the 2016 finalist Karolina Pliskova out of the competition. Now, the young New Yorker will match up against the world No. 16, American Madison Keys

Keys and Vandeweghe, who is ranked No.20, met back in July at the Bank of the West Classic final. At the tournament Keys debuted her new Wilson Ultra Tour Tennis Racquet, took the title, and recorded first career win against Vandeweghe. Coco continued that success at Stanford by winning the Women’s Double’s title alongside fellow American Abigail Spears.

Coco, too, unleashed a bad boy to play with: her NEW Yonex EZone 98 Tennis Racquet, released in August. With it in hand she overcame a three setter in the US Open third round to advance over the 10th seed Agnaeska Radwanska, 7-5, 4-6, 6-4. Can Coco continue to crush the competition in her home state? Well, she sure is making America and #TeamYonex proud of her powerful play!
