Hot Looks at the 2017 Miami Open!!

As a new season of tournaments is officially underway, each player must adjust to new weather, new surfaces, and a new wardrobe. Some players are lucky and get to wear something current, while others get stuck wearing things like this. We are going to go ahead and focus on what is cool and current as the hard courts of Miami continue to warm up.

Caroline Wozniacki

Clothing giant adidas and fashion icon Stella McCartney have had a long and prosperous partnership in the public eye of tennis for longer than I can remember, and they came out with an outfit unique to even the most individually inclined. Shying away from the bolder female colors that we see on the tour, this collaborative outfit uses white, black, red, and grey. Unfortunately Garbine Muguruza withdrew, but there is still one model of the outfit. Sporting the Stella McCartney Barricade Tennis Tank and the Stella McCartney Barricade Tennis Skirt 2 (both in red), Caroline Wozniacki is looking difficult to beat. She pairs this cute outfit with a pair of the 2017 Barricade Boosts.

Alexander Zverev

Wozniacki’s male Miami Open counterpart, Sascha Zverev, is making waves as well. Wearing a similar outfit to what he wore for the Australian Open, he is dazzling on the court in oranges, whites, and blues. Wearing the Melbourne Tee in Glow Orange and White on top and the Melbourne Bermuda Tennis Short in White on bottom, Zverev flies around the court with ease. On his feet, he is wearing the Adizero Ubersonic 2’s for stability as well as comfort. To make it on, Zverev needs to beat Stan the Man, which is doable, but will be a hard task.

David Goffin

Goffin has an equally hard route to the title, but he has a markedly different outfit than the man mentioned before. He is wearing a very conservative uniform built by ASICS. Once known as just a shoe manufacturer, ASICS now makes high quality tennis apparel worn by multiple top pros! Goffin is one of those who has been supporting the brand for years. He is wearing a variation of the Athlete Cooling Tennis Top! This shirt is rather tight, but if you can pull it off, it looks fantastic. To pair with navy top, he can be seen in the 7 Inch Tennis Short, but I have a sneaking suspicion that he tapers them up a couple of inches.

Johanna Konta

Konta is an up and coming player who also is using ASICS. As Goffin likes to be conservative, Konta is a bit more flashy with her style. For her top, she is using the decorative Athlete GPX Tennis Tank in Diva Pink. To pair with that she is wearing a variation of the Club GPX Tennis Skort in Navy. Konta has the perfect shoes to match her stylish outfit. The ASICS Gel Resolution 7’s are some of the highest performing shoes on the market, and in Diva Pink and Navy, it was like they were made to go with this set of clothes.

Rafael Nadal

Rafa is one of the top players in this tournament, with his unique style of play and veteran smarts, it is easy to see why. With his classic Aeroreact Challenger Tennis Top, Rafa maintains an advantage that no other tour player has. Pairing this with some 7 inch Nike shorts, a headband, and some wristbands, sweat is not a factor for the Spanish Bull. Nadal wears on his feet the Nike Lunar Ballistec 1.5’s. With speed and stability, Rafa hopes to fly around the Miami Open courts en route to a tourney victory.
