Though Wimbledon is a no-go this year, we still have the release of the would-be Wimbledon tennis fashions to look forward to, including some cosmetic updates to your favorite Nike footwear for both men and women. White is, of course, the tradition for the London courts, but Nike has layered in accents in the rich green and royal purple also associated with The Championship.
Nike Zoom Vapor Cage 4
The Nike Cage 4 sports a cool graphic that would have complemented the grass courts. Nike is calling the color “Clover”, and though it won’t be bringing the pro players luck in London this year, it can still work to your advantage while facing opponents. The iconic Nike swoosh is outlined on the outside of the shoe so you get the full effect of the graphic, but pops in Clover on the medial side and again on the sole for 360 degrees of style.
Nike Zoom Vapor X and Vapor X Knit
The Vapor X and Vapor X Knit also don the graphic print, but keep the classic white logo on the lateral side of the shoe. The upper of the Air Zoom Vapor X is shaped to offer more of a glimpse at the designer print, whereas the Vapor X Knit puts it on full display. Like the Cage 4, both styles bear the Clover swoosh on the inside of the foot and again on the sole. The Vapor X Knit has the added feature of the model name molded into the back of the upper for a finishing touch that’s subtle, but still makes a statement.
Nike Court Air Zoom GP Turbo
The Air Zoom GP Turbo takes the customary all-white approach, but amps it up a bit with Court Purple accents at the collar, side stripe, and swoosh. The sole maintains the mostly monochromatic color scheme while offering the grip you need to make those quick cuts on court. Though designed specifically for Wimbledon tennis, the GP Turbo’s style also conveniently works well with Nike’s newest fall releases. Check out some examples below!
