The Nike Women’s Tennis Shoe holiday collection for 2024 is here! The holiday collection brings some new color (or lack thereof) to one of the sports biggest brands. The Nike Vapor line includes the Vapor 11, Vapor Pro 2, and Vapor Lite 2. The rest of the lineup features the Nike GP Challenge 1, GP Challenge Pro, and Court Lite 4. Many of these shoes will be worn by WTA players throughout the indoor season. Let’s get to it!
Nike Vapor Tennis Shoes
As always, this year’s holiday selection of Nike tennis shoes features the same innovation and high quality that tennis fans have come to expect. Nike’s design team dug deep into their color palette and has found some unique and interesting colors to set you apart from your friends.
Nike Air Zoom Vapor 11
Nike sought to develop “the fastest shoe in tennis,” but with enough support and stability to satisfy the demands of the world’s best tennis players. For starters, Nike gave the Vapor 11 a modified half-bootie construction for easier entry and a locked-in fit. The tongue is designed for comfort, but also without a lot of bulk. The shoe is double lasted and it features a ZOOM unit in the forefoot for speed. The upper gets extra protection from haptic printing, which enhances durability and style. Dynamic movements are stabilized and supported by A TPU sidewall, which is integrated into the 11. Another thing to note about the Vapor 11 is the shoe sits closer to the court than it looks like it does.
Nike Air Zoom Vapor Pro 2
Nike designed the Vapor Pro 2 with close-to-the-court comfort in mind. The shoe features improved forefoot Zoom Air cushioning, but keeps the same entry and fit as the original Vapor Pro. The extra padded, traditional tongue design pairs nicely with a soft yet supportive ankle collar for a locked-in fit. The Vapor Pro 2 is more comfortable than the original version, but it keeps the close-to-court feel that players have come to know and love. The extra padded tongue is a wonderful addition as well.
Nike Vapor Lite 2
The Vapor Lite 2 offers plush underfoot cushioning with almost no break-in period. Version 2 has the ability to fit multiple foot types and it features a midsole designed with dual-density foam for support and comfort. The shoe has improved the durability on the medial side of the toe box, and while it sits a little higher off the court surface than the other Vapors, it has a good amount of flex to adapt to on-court movements.
Other Nike Tennis Shoes
Nike GP Challenge 1
The Nike Women`s Zoom GP Challenge 1 Tennis Shoes have Air Zoom units in the forefoot AND the heel for the ultimate combination of speed and support. The stability is further enhanced by a midfoot plastic plate which helps with quick direction changes. The medial toe has extra rubber to help withstand excessive wear and tear and the forefoot is protected with high abrasion rubber for added traction. The traditional U-throat design provides easy entry and adjustment, and an extra padded tongue is constructed with breathable mesh for cool comfort. The GP Challenge 1 takes up the mantle of the GP Turbo and offers more volume around the ball of the foot for greater comfort, stability, and balance.
Nike GP Challenge Pro
The NikeCourt Women`s GP Challenge Pro Tennis Shoes offer a wide base for stability and soft foam cushioning for the midsole. The strength is further enhanced by a midfoot plastic plate which helps with quick direction changes. The medial toe has extra rubber to help withstand excessive wear and tear and the forefoot is protected with high abrasion rubber for added traction. The traditional U-throat design provides easy entry and adjustment, and an extra padded tongue is constructed with breathable mesh for cool comfort. The GP Challenge Pro does not offer the impressive lateral stability of the GP Challenge 1, but the shoe’s soft cushioning makes it a more comfortable shoe overall.
Nike Court Lite 4
The Nike Women`s Court Lite 4 Tennis Shoes are built for all-day comfort and offer a wide base for solid traction. The shoe features similar design lines to the higher-performing Court GP Pro and Court GP Challenge 1. The Court Lite 4 offers step-in comfort thanks to the heavily padded ankle collar and tongue.
