FILA sponsored tennis players will debut two colorful, show-stopping collections on court in Melbourne during the 2020 Australian Open. The men are sporting the updated Legend Collection with bold, rich hues that are true to FILA’s roots. The women are donning the new Colorful Play collection which feature flattering and fun silhouettes with plenty of color to turn heads at the first Grand Slam of the season.
Men’s Legend Collection
FILA’s newest iteration of the Legend collection is an eye-popping stylistic melding of rich design history and of-the-moment trends. Deeply inspired by FILA’s Italian heritage, the Legend collection features bright color-rich pieces in a Chinese Red, Pacific Green and White palette that are sure to pop in the hot Australian summer. Although it’ll be hot down under, players will still get plenty of protection with UV 50+, Moisture Wicking and Anti-odor technologies.
Top American John Isner will be primarily rocking the classic Legend Polo which lives up to its name with striking horizontal color blocks, a flat knit jacquard collar and flat knit ribbed cuffs for a comfortable feel. On the contrary, Sam Querrey will be primarily sporting the Legend Striped Printed Polo which sets a new standard with bold vertical striping. Diego Schwartzman will be the primary wearers of the Legend Colorblocked Crew and Legend Piped Crew which highlight the same eye-catching colors in varying designs. Each of these tops pair perfectly with the classic piped drawstring Legend Short, available in White or Pacific Green.
To coordinate with the new Legend Collection colors, all of the FILA ATP pros will wear the Men’s Axilus 2 Energized in Pacific Green, FILA Red and White.
Women’s Colorful Play Collection
Top female FILA sponsored players, including World No. 1 Ash Barty, No. 2 Karolina Pliskova, No. 9 Kiki Bertens and No. 14 Sofia Kenin will be ready to burst onto the scene at the season’s first Grand Slam sporting the bright and brilliant Colorful Play collection. Vibrant tropical hues of Electrifying Blue, Green Citrus and pops of ripe Cantaloupe come to life in soft-edged silhouettes that blend comfort, performance and style in true FILA fashion.
The Colorful Play collection boasts a variety of tank options, including the artful, Cross-Back Cami Tank, the Halter Tank, the attention-grabbing Racerback Tank and the Colorblocked Full Coverage Tank. Each tank incorporates illusion mesh accents for just the right amount of flare and are offered in a variety of color palettes including White, Amparo Blue and Green Ash. The Short Sleeve V-Neck Tee in solid Amparo Blue with Green Ash accents is the perfect option for those desiring more conservative coverage. These tops pair back perfectly to either the flutter-hem Flare Skort for a playful nod to the collection’s name, or the traditional A-Line Skort for a classic silhouette.
