After surviving his second round match against Tim Smyczek, Rafael Nadal was pushed to five sets 6-2, 3-6, 6-7, 6-3, 7-5 in more than four hours to advance to the Australian Open third round. He graced the Aussie courts bringing back his signature style by Nike. Check out Rafa’s gear as he prepares for the third round.

The Challenger Premier Rafa Crew gives Nadal the perfect cooling effect with its fashion-forward laser perforations and Dri-Fit technology to help wick away pesky sweat. There are no-sew seams to help limit his distractions and the shoulders are rolled forward to increase range of motion. Plus the stylish color definitely pops on court!

For bottoms, he is sporting the Premier Gladiator Shorts in white with pink accents. The 7-inch length short allows for optimal movement, while the unique side panels allows for extra breathability. The supportive elastic waistband and four-way stretch fabrication adds even more comfort to his performance.

Rafa will throw on the ultra lightweight Premier Jacket in wolf gray, featuring a full frontal zipper and a drawcord to allow you to choose your level of comfort. Zippered pockets are added on the sides to allow for complete security of items. Stylish designs are presented in this jacket with the contrast colors, Bull logo on the right, and the printed Nike logo at left chest.

The Nike Lunar Ballistic 1.5 is the shoe of choice for Nadal. It features superior cushioning, lightweight design and a thicker outsole. A 6-month outsole durability guarantee is offered by Nike with this shoe. What I personally like about this shoe is the modern colors: White/Classic Charcoal/Volt. The combination of these colors really set-off the complete look of the shoe.

Rafa’s stick of choice will be the Babolat Aeropro Drive Play strung with Babolat RPM Blast. With this combination, he will definitely be able to the stability, power and speed that he needs.
