Yonex‘s VCORE Tennis Racquets experienced a revitalization of sorts with ATP top 20 player Tommy Paul switching frames to the VCORE 98 7th Gen. After the switch he promptly made his first grand slam semifinal at the 2023 Australian Open. Tour players like Wimbledon Champion Elena Rybakina, and recently retired star Angie Kerber choose the VCORE for its combination of spin and power. Now, Yonex is adding a special colorway to their most popular VCORE models: Sand beige!
VCORE Sand Beige Lineup
The racquets keep the same specifications as the 7th-generation models, and the new cosmetic is available for the VCORE 95, VCORE 98, VCORE 100, and VCORE 100L. The 95 features a heavier weight and smaller head size for players who need more control. A solid middle ground for intermediate and advanced players is the VCORE 98. With more power and forgiveness, the 100 and 100L are more accessible racquets for shorter, compact swings.
VCORE Racquet Technology
The technology of the VCORE includes a trimmed beam width in the upper hoop of the racquet for an optimized feel and improved aerodynamics. The 2 and 10 o’clock positions of the head have been widened slightly, to increase the sweet spot. The new throat design offers better energy return, stability, and power. Yonex used Silicon Oil infused Grommets at the top and bottom of the head to reduce friction between the strings and grommets. Aerofins make the frame cut through the air more easily, for better spin and control. The VCORE series features Vibration Dampening Mesh inside the handle to improve the overall comfort.
Yonex Sand Beige Bags
The perfect way to carry the new VCORE racquet is in the matching Sandy Beige bags. The 9-Pack racquet bag offers ample storage for tournament players. For those wanting a little less storage the backpack and 6-pack are great choices. For those who prefer a duffel design, the tournament bag the best choice.
Yonex String Update
Yonex is doubling down on their dedication to Flash Yellow. The brand’s most popular string is POLYTOUR PRO in the iconic flash yellow color. Now Yonex is offering the POLYTOUR DRIVE in Flash Yellow and a new string; POLYTOUR DRIVE SOFT. The string’s octagonal profile helps increase spin-generation. SOFT is an arm friendly polyester string, perfect for players who want the control of a polyester, but with added comfort.
