Tennis pros around the world have only one color on their mind – GOLD! That’s because the 2021 Tokyo Olympics are just around the corner. Open ceremonies will be on Friday, July 23, and match play starts Saturday, July 24. Whether the pros are participating or simply watching, we can expect great things to come from these summer games.
History in the Making
Novak Djokovic is on a quest to become one of the greatest tennis players of all time. He is headed to the Tokyo Olympics where he hopes to bring home his first gold medal and join the ranks of Steffi Graf, who is the only player in history to win a gold medal and all four majors in the same year, 1988. Referred to as the Calendar Golden Slam, Novak will attempt to add the Olympic medal to his 2021 titles after winning Wimbledon, Roland Garros, and the Australian Open earlier in the year.

A Blast from the Past
