Ask a Tennis Expert Episode 4 blog

We’re back again answering some of your tennis questions! Whether you’re looking for gear recommendations, or tips to improve your technique, our experts are here to help.

Head on over to the  “Ask an Expert” form to send in your query!

To the questions we received this week, here’s what the Tennis Express experts had to say:

1. Our first question comes from Sujan. He’s currently using the Babolat AeroPro Drive GT, but wants to get a racquet with more power and some control. What do we recommend?

– Sujan

The Babolat AeroPro Drive GT is a good racquet that is geared for power and spin. If you’re looking for more power and some control, we would recommend trying the following racquets. Each racquet will give you a great blend of power, control and comfort.

2. Our second question comes from Dr. Mody. He asks what’s an appropriate racquet for a baseline singles player who wants to hit more comfortable backhands? He has been using the Head Graphene Touch Speed Adaptive Racquet but would like to make a change.

– Dr. Hemant Mody

The Head Graphene Touch Speed Adaptive Racquet is a pretty unique frame, but there are definitely some racquets in today’s market that may suit your needs better.

Wilson Clash 100 Tennis Racquet

Wilson Clash 100 is very flexible, stable, comfortable and powerful. However, it might feel heavy compared to your current racquet so you will also want to try the Wilson Clash 100L.

2018 Babolat Pure Drive Lite

2018 Babolat Pure Drive Lite is lightweight, easy to swing and stable, but may be harsh on the arm if strung too tight.

Head Graphene 360+ Speed MP Lite Tennis Racquet

Head Graphene 360+ Speed MP Lite is much more comfortable than previous models, Fast moving, and more stable.

Tecnifibre T-Fight XTC 280g Tennis Racquet
Tecnifibre T-Fight 280 XTC is comfortable, Lightweight, Pre-strung, and powerful.

Yonex Ezone 100SL Deep Blue Tennis Racquet
Yonex Ezone 100SL Deep Blue is very powerful, stable, and surprisingly comfortable.

That’s all for today, but we’ll see you next Friday for our Live Q&A session. We’ll be featuring a special guest so stay tuned for more details. Feel free to keep submitting your questions to our “Ask an Expert” form and well get back to as quickly as possible. Thanks for sharing!
